East West Railway Company is hiring a Front End & AI Developer to join the Data Centre of Excellence. You will design modern, responsive web apps and AI-enabled interfaces that bring together data, automation and Microsoft technologies.

Working with AI Lead and Power Platform specialists, you will build dashboards, analytics, and AI-driven user experiences while contributing to adoption of M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and Foundry agents across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and building accessible, data-driven interfaces.
• Knowledge of APIs and cloud-based technologies (Azure preferred).
• Experience with dashboards, analytics or data-driven applications and collaboration with Power Platform teams.

Responsibilities

Role Summary:

We're looking for a talented Front End & AI Developer to join our growing Data Centre of Excellence team.

This is an exciting opportunity to help build the next generation of digital products, AI-powered applications and intelligent user experiences that will support one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes.

Working alongside our AI Lead, Azure Data Engineer and Power Platform specialists, you'll develop modern web applications, dashboards and AI-enabled solutions that bring together data, automation and cutting-edge Microsoft technologies. You'll also play a key role in helping colleagues adopt M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and Foundry agents, driving innovation across the business.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing and building modern, responsive web applications and digital interfaces
• Creating AI-powered user experiences using Microsoft AI technologies, Copilot Studio and Foundry agents
• Developing secure, scalable solutions using Microsoft technologies, APIs and Azure services
• Working with enterprise data to deliver dashboards, reporting tools and embedded analytics
• Collaborating with Power Platform specialists to create seamless user experiences across multiple technologies
• Supporting AI solution development, testing, documentation, user engagement and adoption
• Assisting with testing new capabilities within M365 Copilot, gathering user feedback and maintaining guidance and training materials
• Contributing to agile delivery, code reviews, testing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Helping establish best practices and reusable components that support citizen development and AI adoption.

What you'll bring:

• Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Angular or similar
• A passion for creating accessible, user-focused and visually engaging digital experiences
• Knowledge of web application development, APIs and cloud-based technologies
• Experience with GitHub and collaborative software development practices
• An interest in AI technologies and how they can improve user experiences and business productivity
• Knowledge of Azure services and integration approaches
• Experience working with dashboards, analytics or data-driven applications
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform would be advantageous
• An interest in AWS technologies and a willingness to learn and develop AWS skills.
