Job summary

The Barnett, a restored Art Deco hotel near Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, is seeking a Guest Services Agent for afternoons and evenings. The role focuses on delivering authentic hospitality, handling check-ins, reservations, and guest requests with professionalism.

Ideal candidates are organized, personable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with experience in front desk or guest services and familiarity with Opera Cloud.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous hospitality/front desk or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with hotel PMS (Opera Cloud) is a plus.
• Experience with reservations, billing, and payment processing is a plus.
• Second language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and create a warm, welcoming first impression.
• Handle check-ins/outs, room assignments, reservations updates, and payments.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure timely service delivery.
• Provide concierge-style recommendations for dining and local attractions.
• Maintain accurate guest records and front desk area.
