Job summary

The Galloway Larder is seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team in Gatehouse of Fleet. You will prepare and cook dishes from scratch across all sections, using fresh ingredients for our daytime café, evening restaurant and events.

You will work with the existing kitchen team, enjoy reliable hours (approx. 30–35 per week), weekend work, and two days off. Excellent pay and benefits available in a supportive, growing independent business.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy professional kitchen is essential.
• Able to work with fresh ingredients and prepare dishes from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes across all kitchen sections (starters, mains, desserts).
• Work as part of a kitchen team for daytime café, evening restaurant and events.
• Commit to weekend shifts and two days off per week.
