Job summary

Dewis Centre for Independent Living is seeking a part-time Personal Assistant to support the client in and around Pontyclun, Barry and Cardiff Bay. The role offers up to 10 hours per week with flexible hours by arrangement and a pay rate of £15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include accompanying the client to social activities, transport to events, shopping trips, and gym/ recreation activities. A full driving licence is essential, and privacy and reliability are important traits for this

Qualifications

• Must have a full clean driving licence.
• Respect for privacy and confidentiality when working in someone else’s home.
• Mature, confident, patient and dependable.
• Friendly, easy-going manner and punctual arrival.
• Adaptable and flexible; able to work to instructions.
• Experience of mental health is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the person during social outings and activities.
• Provide transport and accompany to rugby matches when possible.
• Assist with shopping trips and trips out by car or public transport.
• Join gym, sauna and Jacuzzi visits as appropriate.
• Participate in bowling or pool activities with the person.
• Carry out other agreed duties as discussed with the employer.
• Respect privacy and maintain professional boundaries at all times.
