Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver in the United Kingdom to deliver groceries to customers. This role focuses on safe driving, friendly customer interactions and timely deliveries while working with a supportive team.

Pay starts at £14.18 per hour and rises to £15.45 in certain stores; a minimum weekly hours guarantee is offered, with some locations offering 12 hours or more. Flexible shifts and benefits are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Comfortable delivering great service with a smile and handling customer interactions.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and routes while on the road.

Responsibilities

• Keep van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised to ensure goods reach customers in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely and complete checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Explain order changes/substitutions and refunds to customers to keep a smooth experience.
• Handle products with care and treat every order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s time slot and provide warm, doorstep service.
