Job summary

Tesco PLC is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers’ homes. The role combines driving with high service levels, working independently most of the day, supported by a local team back at base.

Expect a minimum of 16 hours per week with shifts that offer flexibility and variation across locations. Starting pay is £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 in stores within the M25; some locations may offer additional payments.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is a plus.
• Clear communication with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and manage time on delivery routes.

Responsibilities

• Keep van, trays, and work area clean and organised to ensure correct order delivery.
• Load the van safely and perform checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Explain order changes or substitutions to customers in a friendly manner and process refunds when needed.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and trust.
• Deliver within the customer’s time slot with warm, natural service at the doorstep.
