Greencore Northampton is seeking a permanent full-time role for a Shift Operative. The position runs Saturday to Wednesday or Sunday to Thursday, 22:00–06:30, with a rate of £17.29 per hour at the Northampton site.

You will ensure allergen segregation, accurate material handling, and on-time line supply in a high-volume production environment. You will work as part of a team, adhere to safety standards, and support quality checks.

Qualifications

• Numeracy and English language skills required.
• Demonstrate safe working practices and H&S awareness.
• Able to lift and push materials and work in a team or independently.
• Experience in FMCG/warehouse is advantageous, though full training is provided.

Responsabilités

• Ensure allergen segregation is carried out correctly.
• Ensure materials are scanned to and from the line.
• Ensure lines are supplied in full and on time with correct materials.
• Complete pre-start up checks and fill in the necessary paperwork.
• Manage materials due to expire, concessions, dumps and disposals.
• Maintain the correct standards in the fridges and support quality checks.

What you'll be doing

• To ensure allergen segregation is always carried out correctly.
• Ensure materials are scanned to and from the line correctly.
• Ensure that the lines are supplied in full and on time with the correct materials.
• Ensure that all pre-start up checks is completed and the necessary paperwork is filled in.
• Effectively manage materials that are due to expire, concessions, dumps, and disposals.
• Ensure the correct standards in the Fridges are maintained.
• Ensure that the relevant quality checks are performed and that any issues regarding quality or food safety are raised immediately to the Line Coordinator.

What we’re looking for

• Good numeracy and English Language skills both verbal and written.
• Can demonstrate working in a safe manner and do good H&S practices.
• Able to lift & push materials, work as part of a team & independently.
• Accurate and pays attention to detail Ability to work well under pressure.
• Knowledge of and or experience of working in a FMCG/Warehouse would be advantageous, though full training is provided.
