Job summary

Asda Barry is recruiting a Fresh Manager to lead the day-to-day running of the Fresh department, ensuring best availability and shop floor standards through strong execution, waste control and date code compliance. You’ll manage a team to drive results and act on opportunities to improve performance.

In this full-time permanent role, you’ll ensure legal compliance, coach colleagues, and deliver excellent customer service while flexibly covering day shifts on weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge on food or non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Fresh department to achieve best shelf availability and standards.
• Drive waste control and date code compliance.
• Ensure the store is safe and legal for customers and colleagues.
• Lead the shrink agenda through your Fresh team with clear actions.
