Job summary

Asda is recruiting a Fresh Manager in Leicester to lead the Fresh department, sustaining top-quality availability and shop floor standards while ensuring waste and date code controls are in place. You’ll drive shrink reduction and safety compliance.

You will coach a team, implement trading activities, and maintain excellent customer service, with flexibility to work day shifts, weekends, and evenings in a busy grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge on food or non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Fresh department and ensure best availability and shop floor standards.
• Drive waste reduction and date code compliance to keep store safe and legal.
• Manage shrink agenda and take action on opportunities with clear steps.
• Role-model high standards in customer service and execution.
• Coach and develop the Fresh team to improve routines and processes.
