Job summary

Asda in Norwich is seeking a Fresh Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the Fresh department, ensuring outstanding availability and shop floor standards while driving waste reduction and date code compliance. You’ll manage safety and legal compliance for customers and colleagues.

You will drive the shrink agenda with your team, push for continuous improvement, and coach staff to deliver exceptional service with heart and pride.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge on food or non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Fresh department day-to-day, ensuring best availability and shop floor standards.
• Manage waste and date code compliance while keeping the store safe and legal.
• Lead the shrink agenda through the Fresh team and act on opportunities with clear actions.
• Plan and execute trading activity on the shopfloor to deliver great availability and metrics.
• Coach and develop the team, fostering a culture of selling with personality.
