Job summary

Morrisons Market Street Fish Counter is seeking a dedicated Fishmonger to join our fresh fish team. You will prepare and sell fish products, offer cooking advice, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming counter environment for local shoppers.

You will fillet, scale, skin, pin bone, gut, cut, weigh and price products to exact specifications while providing friendly service and expert advice to both in-store and online customers.

Qualifications

• Competent in cleaning, preparing, filleting, pin boning, scaling, skinning, and gutting products.

Responsibilities

• Put customers first: Deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights traditional skills and cooking advice.
• Prepare quality catches: Fillet, scale, skin, pin bone, gut, cut, weigh, and price fish to specs.
• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep displays well-stocked, fresh and attractive during trading hours.
• Keep operations safe and legal: Follow safety guidelines, temperature controls, COSHH, PPE and allergen procedures.
