Job summary

Whatnot is hiring a Category Associate to expand presence in new and existing French-speaking categories. You will identify and recruit sellers, become the category expert, and help grow our live commerce platform across a remote-to-hub model.

Fluency in French and English is required, with strong communication and analytic skills. You will blend seller outreach, onboarding, and growth strategies, working with partners to shape product feedback and market expansion.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a fast-paced, client-facing role in high-output environments.
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments with limited guidance.
• Strong project management and execution ownership on both sides of an emerging marketplace.
• Business acumen, deeply analytical, and capable of turning data into action.
• Fluent in French & English (written & spoken).

Responsibilities

• Become the go-to expert on your category, including seller dynamics, community channels, influencers, and product nuances.
• Source and reach out to sellers to join and grow their business on Whatnot; leverage social media and outbound channels.
• Onboard groups of sellers and teach them how to use the app.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with sellers and partners to support growth and collect feedback.
• Lead marketing initiatives, including influencer partnerships, to boost brand awareness.
• Use basic data analytics (SQL) to derive insights and enhance processes.
