Job summary

Reactive Recruitment is recruiting for a Freight Planner in Bedford. The role requires current/recent freight forwarding experience and offers a starting salary of £28,000 to £29,000 with a strong benefits package.

The successful candidate will execute orders across air, sea, and road, mainly servicing Australia, New Zealand and Japan, and will build solid client and partner relationships. Based at the Bedford site with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Current/recent Freight Forwarding experience essential (minimum 1 year).
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• PC literate in Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good presentation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of transport/freight forwarding industry essential.

Responsibilities

• Execute orders by all modes of transport (Air, Sea and Road), focusing on Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
• Build excellent working relationships with clients and transport partners.
• Support all departments to resolve queries and participate in meetings.
• Work collaboratively with UK and EU locations.
• Maintain accurate order processing, documentation, and tariff usage.
