Job summary

Green & Wolvin Recruitment is recruiting for an Air Freight Forwarder based at Manchester Airport, Wythenshawe. The role focuses on managing air freight bookings, pricing, and end-to-end freight operations to support international shipments for major clients.

You will handle import/export documentation, carrier nominations and INCOTerms, while ensuring OTIF delivery and strong customer service. Commutable to Wythenshawe with scope for growth within a dynamic logistics team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in freight forwarding (air/sea/road).
• Experience with pricing, quotations and planning deliveries.
• Desirable customs compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage air freight import/export bookings including pricing and end-to-end shipping.
• Handle documents of operations and transportation (booking, airway bills, loading confirmations).
• Nominate carriers, airlines and GSA per rates, OTIF and INCOTerms.
• Raise customs documentation (ISF/COO/clearance) as needed.
• Provide customer rate analysis and secure allocations for efficient operations.
• Build relationships to ensure high-level client service.

We are actively looking to engage air, sea and road freight professionals with a passion for freight forwarding and aviation shipping for a new role as an Air Freight Forwarder at Manchester Airport in Wythenshawe!

Client Details

My client is a market-leader in the shipping industry and has offices based across the world (in Germany, Spain, USA & more recently in the Far East). You will be joining a fast-pace environment assisting in finding logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, retail & FMCG based customers. My client focuses on searching air freight, AOG, sea freight & road freight solutions, which are both cost effective & time sensitive.

Job Description

• Manage air freight import and export bookings including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping and customs documentations.
• Documents of Operations and transportation (booking, airway bills and loading confirmation)
• Nominating carriers, airlines and GSA in-line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements in line with a variety of INCOTerms.
• Raise additional customs documentation to ensure the freight can move from country to country (ISF,COO, clearance documentation etc)
• Customer rate analysis on route guidance, whilst monitoring and secure allocations and operation efficiency
• Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients with a knowledge of the clients business requirements

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have an expansive background in freight forwarding across both import and export. The ideal Air Freight Forwarder will have the following skills and experience:

• 3+ year's experience in freight forwarding in either air, sea or road freight forwarding.
• Experience of pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across air & road freight.
• Desirable experience of customs compliance
• Excellent customer service experience
• Knowledge of INCOTerms is advantageous
• Commutable to Wythenshawe, Manchester.
