Job summary

WR Logistics in Birmingham is seeking a Freight Forwarding Training Manager to lead practical training across CargoWise and other platforms. This hands-on role focuses on embedding effective training that helps teams adopt new processes and perform at their best.

You will work with operational teams, systems specialists and development colleagues to deliver onboarding, follow-up sessions and skills coaching, with a view to improving efficiency and consistency across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong freight forwarding, logistics or process-driven operational experience.
• Experience as a supervisor, team leader or subject-matter expert.
• Ability to coach colleagues and explain processes clearly.
• Experience supporting onboarding, systems training or employee development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical systems training across CargoWise and other platforms.
• Turn operational processes into clear training sessions.
• Support system rollouts, updates and new ways of working.
• Deliver structured onboarding for new employees.
• Help new starters become confident and productive quickly.
• Provide follow-up training to reinforce learning.
• Support development programs for graduates and apprentices.
• Facilitate behavioural and professional skills sessions.
• Create straightforward, fit-for-purpose training materials.
• Monitor adoption of systems and processes and provide support.
