Job summary

WR Logistics in Stanford-le-Hope is seeking a Freight Forwarding Internal Sales Executive to turn enquiries into business within a global network. You’ll build relationships with customers and work with colleagues across sales, pricing and operations to deliver effective freight solutions.

This role is Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with a base salary of £35,000 plus bonus, and 25 days’ holiday in a modern office environment.

Qualifications

• Experience within freight forwarding, ideally in internal sales, pricing or customer service.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Responding to enquiries and preparing freight quotations.
• Following up on quotes, gathering feedback and converting opportunities.
• Contacting prospective customers to understand their shipping requirements.
• Building relationships with existing accounts and identifying further opportunities.
• Sourcing rates from colleagues, overseas partners and suppliers.
• Supporting the external sales team with proposals and customer information.
• Maintaining accurate customer records and sales activity.
• Working with operations to ensure a smooth handover of secured business.
