Job summary

A leading multi-site freight forwarder is seeking an experienced Air Freight Coordinator to manage end-to-end operations at their Heathrow office. The role involves ensuring timely movement of goods, compliance with customs regulations, and delivering excellent customer service. Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years’ experience in freight forwarding and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience with a UK-based freight forwarder.
• Strong knowledge of air import/export procedures and documentation.
• Ability to manage full operational cycle (start to finish).

Air Freight Coordinator

Location: Gatwick
Salary: Up to 41,000
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

Our client, a well-established multi-site freight forwarder with UK and international operations, is looking for an experienced Air Import/Export Coordinator to join their team in Heathrow. This is a key role managing end-to-end air freight operations, ensuring timely and compliant movement of goods worldwide.

What You'll Do:

• Manage and coordinate air freight import and export shipments

• Liaise with overseas agents, carriers, and clients

• Arrange and track shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations

• Prepare and check shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, customs entries)

• Monitor shipments and address any delays or issues

• Coordinate with internal warehouse and transport teams

• Deliver excellent customer service and timely updates

• Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth operational flow

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience with a UK-based freight forwarder

• Strong knowledge of air import/export procedures and documentation

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Well-organized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines

• Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and MS Office

• Ability to manage full operational cycle (start to finish)
