Freight Forwarder

Salary : Up to £35,000 per annum

Hours : Monday to Friday

Holidays : 21 days + bank holidays

We're working with a growing freight forwarding business in Chandlers Ford who are looking for an experienced Multimodal Freight Forwarder to join their friendly operations team.

This is a varied role covering sea, road, and air freight, handling imports, exports, and cross trades for a diverse range of customers. The ideal candidate will have a sea freight bias but enjoy the variety that comes with working across multiple transport modes.

The Role

Handle day-to-day operations across sea, air, and road freight.

Manage both import and export shipments from start to finish.

Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, and customers.

Prepare and issue documentation such as bills of lading and invoices.

Track shipments and proactively resolve any issues or delays.

Provide excellent customer service and build lasting client relationships.

Customs knowledge or clearance experience would be an advantage.

About You

Proven experience within a freight forwarding environment based in the UK.

Strong operational understanding of sea freight; road and air knowledge beneficial.

Able to manage the full shipment process confidently and independently.

Knowledge of customs procedures is desirable but not essential.
