Job summary

Booker is hiring Freezer Warehouse Operatives to join the Didcot site’s busy warehouse team. You will pick, pack and move goods in a strict freezer environment, ensuring accuracy and safety while supporting timely deliveries.

Role includes training and progression opportunities, with 5-day weeks on a rotating early/late schedule and occasional night shifts. Candidates must be reliable and able to work in cold conditions.

Qualifications

• A basic understanding of Health and Safety is essential.
• Good attention to detail is required.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours.
• Previous warehouse or freezer experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Reach Truck Experience.
• LLOP or PPT Experience.
• Counterbalance truck licence/experience.
• FLT Licence/experience.

Responsibilities

• The picking, packing and loading of our customer food orders for delivery within a freezer environment.
• Ensuring stock is handled and stored correctly.
• Processing goods in effectively and efficiently.
• Performing stock checks as and when necessary.
• Replenishing the DC with goods in stock.
• Performing the necessary hygiene checks.

About the role

We are currently recruiting forFreezer Warehouse Operatives to join our busy warehouse team. This role involves working in a freezer environment to support the efficient picking, packing, and movement of goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.

As a member of our warehouse team you will undertake challenging and rewarding work and play a pivotal role in ensuring we fulfil our customers' needs.

OurBooker Retail Partnerssitein Didcot is a 245,000 sq ft, modern, multi-temperature food service site.

There is also great scope for training, development and progression within the company.

Successful candidates will be required to work 5 days per week between Sunday and Friday with shift hours of 06:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs (the early day shift) one week and 14:00 hrs to 22:00 hrs (the late day shift) the next week.

Limited positions available on the night shift 22:00hrs -06:00hrs

You will be responsible for

The picking, packing and loading of our customer food orders for delivery within a freezer environment.

Ensuring stock is handled and stored correctly.

Performing stock checks as and when necessary

Replenishing the DC with goods in stock

Performing the necessary hygiene checks

You will need

A basic understanding of Health and Safety is essential, along with a good standard of literacy and numeracy skills.

The following are desirable, however, full training is provided regardless of prior experience:
