Job summary

Booker Group in Didcot is hiring Freezer Warehouse Operatives to support picking, packing and loading in a multi-temperature environment. You will help ensure accuracy and safety while contributing to high customer service standards at a busy 245,000 sq ft site.

Full training is provided; opportunities to develop and progress within the business are highlighted. Candidates should be flexible to work 06:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00 and occasional night shifts.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy needed.
• Willingness to work in a freezer environment with PPE.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible with hours.
• Previous warehouse or forklift experience is helpful but full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and load goods in a freezer environment.
• Replenish the distribution centre with in-stock items.
• Undertake stock checks and hygiene checks as required.
• Maintain accuracy and safety standards across shifts.
• Work five days per week across Sunday to Friday; early and late shifts; some night shifts may apply.

Job description

We are currently recruiting forFreezer Warehouse Operatives to join our busy warehouse team. This role involves working in a freezer environment to support the efficient picking, packing, and movement of goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.

As a member of our warehouse team you will undertake challenging and rewarding work and play a pivotal role in ensuring we fulfil our customers' needs.

OurBooker Retail Partnerssitein Didcot is a 245,000 sq ft, modern, multi-temperature food service site.

There is also great scope for training, development and progression within the company.

Successful candidates will be required to work 5 days per week between Sunday and Friday with shift hours of 06:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs (the early day shift) one week and 14:00 hrs to 22:00 hrs (the late day shift) the next week.

Limited positions available on the night shift 22:00hrs -06:00hrs

The picking, packing and loading of our customer food orders for delivery within a freezer environment.

Ensuring stock is handled and stored correctly.

Processing goods in effectively and efficiently

Performing stock checks as and when necessary

Replenishing the DC with goods in stock

Performing the necessary hygiene checks

We are looking for flexible, reliable people with a 'can do' attitude and great team working ethics who will supportBooker RetailPartnersin achieving its aim to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

A basic understanding of Health and Safety is essential, along with a good standard of literacy and numeracy skills.

The following are desirable, however, full training is provided regardless of prior experience:

• Ability to work in a freezer environment (full PPE provided)
• Good attention to detail
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours
• Previous warehouse or freezer experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
• Reach Truck Experiece
• LLOP or PPT Experience
• Counterbalance truck licence/experience
• FLT Licence/experience
