Job summary

Urban Connect is seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee six small water-sector schemes across Derbyshire. You will manage programmes, budgets and performance while coordinating site teams, subcontractors and designers to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, clear communication and a hands-on ownership approach, with immediate start and a track record in water-sector projects. Derbyshire-based work with autonomy and accountability.

Qualifications

• Water-sector experience in project delivery across water schemes.
• Experience managing multiple projects or schemes simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of project delivery, programme and commercial management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of delivery.
• Relevant project management and construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Managing the delivery of multiple small water-sector schemes across Derbyshire.
• Taking ownership of programmes, budgets and project performance.
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, designers and stakeholders.
• Managing health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Monitoring progress and resolving project issues.
• Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
