Job summary

Contract Scotland is seeking a freelance Sub-Agent - Civils for an Edinburgh-area project. Immediate start on a 2–3 month contract with Monday–Friday hours, 8:00am–4:00pm. You will oversee concrete and civils works, coordinate subcontractors, read drawings and liaise with engineers and project management.

The role offers an immediate freelance assignment with potential for extension depending on project needs and performance.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS card is required.
• Civil engineering qualification, ideally HNC level or equivalent.
• Experience as Sub-Agent or civils role on projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day civils and concrete works on site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery.
• Read and interpret drawings, specs and project information.
