Job summary

Randstad Cpe London is seeking a Sub Agent - Major Civils for a contract role in Argyll & Bute, Scotland. You will lead heavy civils works, coordinate engineers and site teams, and ensure delivery in line with drawings and safety standards.

Responsibilities cover health, safety, environment, QA, and coordination with design teams to resolve issues, review drawings, and monitor progress. Experience in earthworks, concrete, foundations, roads, and temporary works is required.

Responsibilities

• Health, Safety & Environment: Ensure works are delivered per approved Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Health, Safety & Environment: Promote a strong safety culture and carry out regular site inspections and audits.
• Health, Safety & Environment: Support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Health, Safety & Environment: Ensure temporary works and environmental controls are properly planned and managed.
• Engineering & Construction: Lead the engineering delivery of a defined section of works.
• Engineering & Construction: Coordinate engineers, site teams and subcontractors.
• Engineering & Construction: Review drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Engineering & Construction: Resolve technical and construction issues with the project and design teams.
• Engineering & Construction: Ensure effective setting out, surveying and engineering control.
• Engineering & Construction: Monitor progress and identify risks, constraints and required actions.
• Heavy Civils: Experience in earthworks and groundworks; reinforced concrete and structures; foundations and retaining structures; roads, pavements and hardstanding’s; temporary works; infrastructure and enabling works.
• Quality: Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Quality: Manage inspections, testing, NCRs and handover documentation.
• Quality: Identify and resolve quality issues.
