Job summary

Thomas Gray Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established residential developer on an initial three-month contract. You will oversee several high-quality new-build schemes in the region, providing commercial support and ensuring cost and contractual controls are maintained.

The ideal candidate will have extensive Quantity Surveying experience in the residential sector, be commercially astute, and able to contribute immediately on workload and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Managing project costs, budgets and forecasts.
• Procuring and managing subcontractor packages.
• Completing valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Monitoring commercial performance and reporting to senior management.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks.
• Working closely with construction, technical and procurement teams.
• Ensuring projects achieve their commercial and programme objectives.

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established residential developer on an initial three-month contract.

The successful candidate will work across several high-quality new-build residential schemes within the region, providing commercial support and ensuring projects are effectively managed from a cost and contractual perspective.

• Completing valuations, variations and final accounts
• Monitoring commercial performance and reporting to senior management
• Identifying and managing commercial risks
• Working closely with the construction, technical and procurement teams
• Ensuring projects achieve their commercial and programme objectives

The ideal candidate will have extensive Quantity Surveying experience within the new-build residential sector, ideally gained with a recognised housebuilder or residential developer. You must be commercially astute, confident managing your own workload and capable of making an immediate contribution.

This is an initial three-month contract with an immediate start available. The role falls inside IR35, with an excellent rate offered to reflect the experience required
