Job summary

Map Talent Group is seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to join a flagship redevelopment at Manchester Town Hall, a high-profile Grade I heritage project within a £600m+ programme.

You will lead a £30m-£40m package, manage Construction Managers, report to the Project Director, and drive delivery with a focus on safety, quality and schedule. Immediate start and approximately 18 months of freelance work on a prestigious site with a handsome day rate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing major construction projects.
• Experience leading large site teams and Construction Managers.
• Strong programme and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the £30m-£40m refurbishment and redevelopment package.
• Oversee a team of Construction Managers responsible for site delivery.
• Drive programme performance and milestone achievement.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Maintain high health and safety, quality, and site management standards.
• Identify risks and implement delivery solutions.
• Report progress and challenges to the Project Director.
• Ensure works meet project specs on a complex heritage refurbishment.
