Job summary

Heim is recruiting freelance phlebotomists to perform domiciliary blood collection in Cumbria and surrounding areas. You will join an existing team and liaise with the Clinical Operations Team to report activities.

The role requires travel with your own car and availability to work mornings 7am-12pm, with potential for additional shifts. Ideal candidates have at least 12 months' full-time phlebotomy experience, a valid DBS (enhanced), professional indemnity insurance, and two referees.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months phlebotomy experience (in domiciliary/community).
• DBS: Enhanced disclosure (child and adult)
• Personal professional indemnity insurance (evidence required)
• Two referees, at least one from recent employment
• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
• Fluent English required

Responsibilities

• Carry out domiciliary phlebotomy tasks including blood sample collection at patients' homes.
• Coordinate with Heim Clinical team for support and reporting.
• Ensure samples are posted or handed to hub in time for courier.
• Document results in patient records and maintain confidentiality.
• Follow company protocols and safety guidelines.
• Attend relevant meetings and participate in service development.
