Job summary

Heim is recruiting freelance phlebotomists to provide community-based blood collection across Cumbria and surrounding areas. You will join an existing team, travel to patients’ homes and report activities to the Clinical Operations Team.

A minimum of 8 hours per week from 7am–12pm is required, with broader availability welcome to meet demand. Applicants must have at least 12 months of full-time phlebotomy experience, a valid Driving Licence with access to a vehicle, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months phlebotomy experience.
• DBS disclosure (enhanced, child and adult).
• Personal professional indemnity insurance (evidence required).
• Two referees, at least one from recent employment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out domiciliary blood tests and visits as a lone practitioner with app support.
• Seek advice from Heim Clinical team for matters outside responsibility.
• Ensure samples are posted or brought to hub on time for courier collection.
• Document blood tests in patient medical records.
• Report risks to Heim Clinical team and follow protocols.
