Freelance Freelance MEP Quantity Surveyor (Part-Time)

Location: Wimbledon, London

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: until the end of 2025 with potential to extend

Day Rate: up to £500 per day (outside IR35)

Working Pattern: 3 days per week, flexible

Reporting To: Senior Commercial Lead

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a freelance Project Quantity Surveyor with an MEP bias to support a cluster of commercial fit-out projects in Wimbledon. The role is part-time, with an immediate start and continuity through to the end of the year.

You’ll be working post-contract on several concurrent workstreams, focusing on valuations, cost reporting, and change management—particularly across mechanical and electrical packages.

Current Projects Include:

• 17,000 ft² CAT A Fit Out – Post-contract services
• 4,200 ft² CAT B Fit Out – Focus on valuations, change control, cost reporting
• S&C / Enabling Works for Various Units – Small works packages and post-contract duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Post-contract QS services with a focus on MEP packages
• Prepare and manage valuations, change control logs, and cost reports
• Issue and manage small work orders (especially related to enabling works)
• Liaise with MEP contractors and manage subcontractor communications
• Provide regular reporting to the Senior Commercial Lead

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience as a QS on fit-out projects, ideally with strong MEP knowledge
• Comfortable operating autonomously on post-contract duties
• Strong communication and cost reporting skills
• Available for 3 days per week with flexibility to scale as needed
