Job summary

Dals is seeking freelance interpreters in Greater Manchester who speak Urdu, Farsi (Persian), Albanian, Arabic, Kurdish/Kurdish Sorani, Romanian, Somali and other community languages. Use your language skills alongside English to help people access essential services while enjoying the flexibility of freelance work across healthcare, legal, education, and public sector services.

Qualifications

Speak English and at least one other language fluently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, professional, and culturally aware.
Have the right to work in the UK.
Able to travel to appointments within your chosen area.

Responsibilities

Interpret conversations between English speakers and speakers of your language(s).
Support appointments in healthcare, education, legal, housing, and social care settings.
Help people access essential services and information.
Facilitate clear, accurate, and confidential communication.
Manage your assignments and availability through our interpreter platform.
