Job summary

ITS Building People are recruiting for an experienced Freelance Foreman in Hampshire to oversee housing groundworks and associated infrastructure on a large-scale residential development. This 12-month contract requires supervising day-to-day site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work and a Full UK Driving Licence, with a proven track record in housing groundworks or residential

Qualifications

• SSSTS or SMSTS certificates are essential.
• CSCS card is essential.
• First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervising day-to-day site operations across housing groundworks projects.
• Managing site operatives, subcontractors and plant to ensure works are completed safely and on programme.
• Overseeing drainage, foundations, groundworks, manholes and kerbing installations.
• Supervising Section 278 (S278) highway works in accordance with project specifications and local authority requirements.
• Coordinating labour, materials and plant to maximise productivity on site.
• Ensuring all works are completed to the required quality standards and project specifications.
• Carrying out daily site inspections and promoting a strong health and safety culture.
• Liaising with the Site Manager, engineers and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Monitoring progress and addressing any on-site issues in a timely manner.
• Supporting the successful completion of the project within programme timescales.
