Job summary

A global leader in food safety is seeking a Freelance Food Safety & Brand Standard Auditor in the Basingstoke/South & Southwest London area. The role involves conducting audits, consulting clients on food safety, and providing training to maintain high standards. Candidates should have L4 Food safety qualifications, auditing experience, and be available flexible hours. This position is independent and does not offer immigration sponsorship.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct food safety, brand standards and workplace health and safety evaluations.
• Consult, coach and train clients on food safety practices.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Conduct food safety, brand standards and workplace health and safety evaluations at client locations.
• Consult, coach and train clients on the latest food safety, health, and hygiene practices.
• Work with account management teams to resolve client challenges.
• Perform a budgeted number of audits weekly that ensures high customer satisfaction.
• Access and leverage industry leading food safety practices and ongoing active monitoring of health inspection information.
• Provide accurate reporting and ensure effective customer communication and relationships.

Requirements

• Have a L4 Food safety qualification.
• Be based in or close to the territory.
• Have own car/transport and a full clean driving licence.
• Be available for weekdays, weekends and evenings.
• Have auditing experience.
• Have hospitality experience.

Skills and Knowledge

• Food safety certifications preferred, such as HACCP, ISO22000, BRC or NEHA (RS, REHS or CP-FS) credentials.
• Retail food safety experience and reviews of brand standards.
• Teaching or coaching experience in a food related field.
• Strong relationship management and advanced consulting skills.
• Strong planning and organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Able to work effectively without supervision, demonstrate initiative, common sense and superior decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, juggle tasks and work efficiently against deadlines.
