Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking a Freelance Fitout Site Manager in Swindon for a CAT A eight-storey office fit-out. The role starts November 2026 for 9 months with potential extension to CAT B. Day rate is £300, and weekly pay is provided. UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

The position requires at least 5 years in a Site Manager role, and the ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality across the project.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations for CAT A fit-out projects.
• Deliver works in line with programme, specifications and budget.

• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure works meet quality standards and standards.
• Assist with construction planning and sequencing of works.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and health & safety laws.

Fawkes & Reece are hiring for a Freelance Fitout Site Manager for an upcoming 8-storey CAT A office fitout in Swindon. Starting November 2026 for 9 months. This project could turn into a CAT B fitout for the right candidate.

Job responsibilities of the Freelance Fitout Site Manager:

• Manage all day-to-day site operations for CAT A fit-out projects
• Deliver works in accordance with programme, specification, and budget
• Coordinate subcontractors
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions where required
• Ensure works are delivered to agreed quality standards
• Assist with construction planning and sequencing of works
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and current Health & Safety legislation.

Scope of works:

• Raised access floors.
• Suspended ceilings.
• Drylining and partitioning.
• MEP installations and modifications.
• Air conditioning and ventilation systems.
• Lighting and power installations.
• Decoration and finishes.
• Testing, commissioning, and handover.

Required Qualifications/Experience for the Freelance Site Manager:

• Experience working on CAT A/B commercial fit out.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a Site Managers position
• UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
