Job summary

Linear Recruitment Ltd. seeks an experienced Freelance Facades Site Manager for a major mixed-use project in Birmingham. You will oversee re-cladding works, initially on low-rise sections and then high-rise, ensuring quality, safety and schedule compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating facade subcontractors, managing site teams and resources, and maintaining rigorous site records. The role requires strong leadership on a high-profile refurbishment in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the facade, cladding or building envelope sector.
• Experience delivering re-cladding, facade installation or external envelope refurbishment projects.
• Strong knowledge of facade systems and installation methods.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and delivering works to programme.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of facade re-cladding works across low-rise, then high-rise elements.
• Coordinate facade subcontractors, site operatives, material deliveries and logistics.
• Ensure works align with drawings, specs and project requirements.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and implement mitigation.
• Maintain health and safety, quality control and site housekeeping.
• Review RAMS, conduct site inspections and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate access equipment and temporary works as required.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, client reps, consultants and trades.
