Job summary

The Crafts Council in London seeks experienced freelance exhibitions, partnerships and collections professionals to join a pool for ad hoc project support across Public Programmes and Collections.

Freelancers may work on exhibitions, loans, partnerships and related public activities, with responsibilities including planning, coordination, documentation and communication with partners, as required by live projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in exhibitions, collections, loans, partnership working or related cultural-sector delivery.
• Project coordination and administrative support experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting coordination and delivery of exhibitions, collection loans, partnership projects or public programme activity from planning through to installation or de-installation as required.
• Coordinating or contributing to project meetings and ensuring clear communication and on-schedule actions.
• Preparing project documentation, loans paperwork, schedules, briefs or other materials needed to support delivery.
• Supporting partner communications, interpretation, audience engagement or collections marketing as relevant.
• Preparing clear object information, partner materials or short written content when needed.
• Representing the Crafts Council to partners, borrowers, artists and audiences.
• Assisting with data capture, evaluation information or KPI tracking and keeping records accurate.
• Tracking project budgets, purchases or approvals using internal systems.
