Job summary

PDT Fleet Training Solutions is seeking freelance Fleet Driver Trainers/Instructors/Assessors to deliver on-site training across the UK. You will conduct half and full-day sessions for category B vehicles, reporting outcomes back to clients and maintaining documentation.

Flexibility to choose working days is offered, with rates of £105 for half-day and up to £210 for full-day sessions, plus occasional weekend opportunities and travel supplements.

Qualifications

• Must hold ADI Fleet Trainer accreditation or be listed on LGV National Instructors Register (NIR).
• Demonstrated proactive approach to delivering engaging training with emphasis on safe driver behaviour.
• Experience delivering courses in electric vehicles is desirable; upskilling available for right applicants.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills; ability to present materials effectively using PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Deliver half- and full-day coaching and assessment sessions on client premises (category B vehicles, vans).
• Complete accurate assessment reports in a timely manner.
• Manage own diary to schedule training across multiple locations in Great Britain.

Job description

PDT Fleet Training Solutions is looking to onboard several Freelance Fleet Driver Trainers/ Instructors/ Assessors at multiple locations across Great Britain. This role involves working with prestigious clients and delivering a mix of classroom and on-road driver induction or upgrade courses at locations across the country.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work for the UK's fastest growing and forward-thinking providers of fleet driver training.

As a Freelance Fleet Driver Trainer, your duties will include the following:

• Delivering both half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions on client premises in category B Vehicles (mostly vans).
• Half-day courses are 4 hours in duration.
• Timely completion of an accurate assessment report.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

• Desirable qualifications include being accredited as an (ADI) Approved Driving Instructor Fleet Trainer or recorded on the LGV National Instructors Register (NIR).
• A proactive approach to delivering engaging and inclusive training (positive driver behaviours are to be promoted).
• Experience in delivering courses in electric vehicles (free upskill training is available to the right applicants).
• Professional approach to the delivery of safe driving PowerPoint presentations.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
• Your laptop and printer (all course presentation material is provided by PDT).
