Job summary

ITS Building People are recruiting an experienced Freelance Assistant Site Manager for a major construction project in Arundel, on an 18-month contract. You will support the Site Manager with day-to-day site operations, subcontractor coordination and ensuring delivery to programme and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have site management experience in commercial/building projects, CSCS/SMSTS/First Aid, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

Previous experience as Assistant Site Manager on construction projects.
Commercial construction experience is essential.
Residential or general building experience is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of construction processes and site operations.
Experience managing subcontractors and site trades.
CSCS Card, SMSTS, and First Aid at Work are essential.
Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the project.
Managing and coordinating subcontractors and site trades.
Monitoring progress and ensuring works are delivered to programme.
Checking drawings, specifications and construction information.
Carrying out regular quality inspections and ensuring works meet specification.
Assisting with site logistics, materials and deliveries.
Ensuring works are completed in accordance with health and safety requirements.
Maintaining accurate site records and documentation.
Liaising with the Site Manager, Project Manager, subcontractors and wider site team.
Assisting with snagging, handover and completion activities.
Supporting the successful delivery of the project to programme.
