Job summary

National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) seeks experienced Assessment Associates for flexible freelance projects across English, Mathematics and Critical Thinking. You will develop and review assessment items, writestimulus materials, and support quality assurance on short-term projects.

Ideal candidates have GCSE-level experience and strong written communication, with the ability to work independently on multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience developing assessment materials for GCSE level or above.
• Strong understanding of assessment principles and practices.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review assessment items and mark schemes.
• Create engaging mathematics questions based on real-world contexts.
• Write or source stimulus materials and develop reading comprehension questions.
• Review assessments to ensure quality, accessibility, validity and fitness for purpose.
• Collaborate with NFER project teams to meet deadlines.
