4xtrahands is seeking an experienced Poultry Manager to oversee a 39,000-bird free-range laying unit. The role focuses on bird welfare, production standards and efficient operation of housing, packaging and farm infrastructure.

You will manage daily flock care, monitor performance, and ensure maintenance and accuracy in records. Accommodation is available, with a competitive salary package based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in poultry husbandry, flock health and welfare.
• Strong record-keeping and daily monitoring of production performance.
• Mechanical maintenance and basic repairs skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a farm team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily care and welfare of the free-range flock.
• Monitor housing systems, equipment and farm infrastructure.
• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs to farm machinery.
• Maintain accurate records on flock health, production and environment.
• Assist with general farm maintenance and site upkeep.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
