Job summary

Nisbets is seeking a Fraud and Risk Manager to lead our fraud prevention and risk management activities within the Finance team. You will own the fraud monitoring framework, drive improvements across controls, and collaborate with multiple functions to mitigate risk.

The role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder influence, and leadership of a team delivering governance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Proven experience in fraud prevention, risk management, and financial controls.
• Previous people management experience leading teams.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the fraud prevention, monitoring and response strategy.
• Monitor transactional activity to identify suspicious trends and potential fraud risks.
• Own end-to-end fraud monitoring framework: reviews, checks, reporting and escalation.
• Lead onboarding controls for customers and suppliers with due diligence and governance.
• Collaborate with Credit Control on credit limit reviews and data governance.
• Lead investigations into suspected fraud, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular fraud and risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
• Design, document and monitor internal controls to support audits.
• Identify emerging fraud trends and improve control environment.
• Collaborate with external partners (banks, payment providers, law enforcement, fraud networks).
• Provide regular fraud, risk and control reporting to senior leadership and board.
• Manage and develop teams responsible for fraud checks and onboarding.
