Job summary

Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust in Ilford is seeking a Band 3 Therapy Assistant for the frailty team at King George Hospital. You will deliver an exercise programme for elderly ward patients under the guidance of a qualified therapist.

You will assess and upgrade exercise plans, document progress, and benefit from an in-service training programme with support from experienced therapists.

Qualifications

• Band 3 Therapy Assistant role in NHS Trust with frailty team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Care certificate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primary assessment of patient
• Referral for treatment
• Clinical discharge of patient
• Setting the primary clinical treatment plan and monitoring the progression of the patient
• Overseeing the clinical quality and ensuring appropriateness of the treatment practised on the patient
