Job summary

Altera is seeking a motivated Field Application Engineer (FAE) to work with the UK sales team and customers in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. This role focuses on technical consulting, guiding customers from architectural evaluation through design completion and helping them maximize business potential with Altera FPGA products, IP, boards and software stacks.

Qualifications

• BS in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years industry experience.
• Experience with FPGA design and proficiency with FPGA development tools.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Contribute and execute territory, account and opportunity plans as part of the Sales Team.
• Engage with customers' system architects and decision makers to understand applications and influence design choices.
• Present capabilities of the product portfolio and drive feasibility studies and proofs of concept.
• Build strong relationships with key influencers inside and outside the company.
• Provide technical support throughout the design cycle from architecture to production.
