Job summary

QRT invites penultimate- and final-year students to join their FPGA team in London for internships and potential graduate roles. You will design, implement, and verify FPGA-based platforms used in live trading, using SystemVerilog, C++, and Python across hardware and software domains.

You’ll work on ultra-low-latency systems, gain hands-on experience with FPGA tools, and collaborate with engineers, researchers and traders on real problems with ownership and technical depth.

Qualifications

• Penultimate or final-year student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Experience with SystemVerilog, Verilog or VHDL.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python.
• Understanding of digital logic design and high-speed interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and optimise production FPGA systems for live trading.
• Work across hardware and software using SystemVerilog, C++ and Python.
• Develop and verify new FPGA functionality and tests.
• Integrate FPGA components with the trading infrastructure.
• Analyze performance and identify latency/ resource improvements.
• Engage with hardware and software teams on FPGA projects.
• Explore new approaches to improve FPGA system capabilities.
