Job Title: FPGA Engineer

Location: Rochester, Kent - On-site

Role Type: Permanent

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience

Our client, an established aerospace engineering firm, requires an experienced FPGA Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative, cutting-edge projects as part of a highly experienced and diverse team, with potential for career progression in the industry. What the role of the FPGA Engineer entails:

1. Providing technical expertise in the development and delivery of PLD/FPGA projects, including requirements development, concept design, detailed design, VHDL coding, synthesis, and verification.
2. Understanding PLD/FPGA design constraints and their impact on other engineering disciplines.
3. Managing own tasks and assisting with the tasks of others within schedules and budgets to meet project needs.
4. Delivering design artefacts in compliance with company standards.
5. Coaching and developing junior team members' skills.

What experience you need to be the successful FPGA Engineer:

1. Essential:
   • Degree/HND in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualification.
   • Proven knowledge of FPGA technologies, development tools, and techniques.
   • Experience working within an FPGA development team.
2. Desirable:
   • Experience in digital hardware design for FPGA using VHDL.
   • Knowledge of video processing and control law algorithms.
   • Familiarity with UVM (Universal Verification Methodology) and constrained random verification.
