Job summary

Refreshing, a large international group, seeks a newly qualified accountant to join its commercial finance team in an FP&A Assistant Manager role. Move from audit into a more commercially focused position, with exposure to budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and business partnering.

You'll work with an experienced Commercial Finance Manager, supporting Shared Service Centre finance across IT, Property, HR, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Executive functions, and develop FP&A and business

Qualifications

• Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant
• Big 4 background welcome
• Strong technical accounting skills and an analytical mindset

• Confident communication with non-finance colleagues

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting and quarterly forecasting across multiple business functions
• Produce monthly management reports and analyse spend and variances
• Work with senior stakeholders to understand costs and support financial decisions
• Take ownership of CAPEX reporting, analysis and budgeting
• Analyze expenditure across areas including recruitment, legal fees and training
• Support cost allocations and improve reporting processes and controls

We're working with a large, international business looking for a newly qualified accountant to join its commercial finance team in a newly created FP&A Assistant Manager role.

It's an excellent opportunity to move away from audit and into a more commercially focused position, gaining exposure to budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and business partnering across a range of corporate functions.

You'll be working closely with an experienced Commercial Finance Manager, supporting the financial management of a Shared Service Centre covering IT, Property, HR, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Executive functions.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting budgeting and quarterly forecasting across multiple business functions
• Producing monthly management reports, analysing spend and explaining variances
• Working with senior stakeholders to understand costs and support better financial decision-making
• Taking ownership of CAPEX reporting, analysis and budgeting
• Analysing expenditure across areas including recruitment, legal fees and training
• Working with the accounting team to ensure accurate cost allocations
• Helping improve reporting processes, controls and financial information

What we're looking for

• Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant
• A background in a Big 4 or other accountancy practice would be very welcome
• Strong technical accounting skills and an analytical mindset
• Someone organised, proactive and comfortable working with detail
• Confident communication skills and an interest in building relationships with non-finance colleagues
• A genuine desire to develop a career in commercial finance and FP&A

Experience of US GAAP or SOX controls would be useful, but isn't essential.
