We are seeking an FP&A Analyst, Management Accountant, or Financial Accountant with financial analysis experience to join a leading financial services company. The role offers a salary of £40,000 to £45,000, based in East Leeds with hybrid working arrangements. The position involves senior stakeholder engagement and plays a key role in the forecasting process.
The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for assisting with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent communication abilities.
The Role
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, including cash flow forecasting.
- Develop and maintain financial models for departmental P&Ls and projects.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, aiding in commercial decision-making.
- Prepare ad-hoc commercial analyses and reports to support operational leaders in performance evaluation and decision-making.
- Update and maintain monthly forecast files and consolidate group forecasts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and schedules, adhering to close deadlines.
- Assist with the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reports.
- Report on key financial metrics, including variances and non-financial data.
- Develop and improve KPI reporting and tracking systems.
- Partner with revenue-generating departments and cost owners through regular meetings to analyze variances and provide insights.
- Contribute to system and process improvement projects.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Your Profile
- Degree educated, with part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred.
- Prior FP&A experience is highly desirable.
- Management or Financial Accountants with financial analysis background will also be considered.
- Experience in financial modeling.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders.
- Capability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
