Job summary

Neutreeno seeks a senior UX designer to lead product design from problem framing through to shipped UI. You will own the design direction, shape the design system, and ensure the product is legible and actionable for operations, finance and sustainability teams.

This is a first full-time design hire with a clear path to growing the design function. The role operates on a hybrid model with a minimum of two days per week in our Cambridge office, collaborating closely with engineers and climate

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional product or UX design experience with a portfolio you can discuss in depth.
• Proven experience designing complex B2B, enterprise or data-heavy products.
• Experience defining and running a design system and showing how engineering consumes it.
• Strong craft across research, information architecture, interaction design and visual design.
• Daily use of AI tools as a core part of how you work (prototyping, design system tooling, research synthesis or UI generation).
• Experience running research and usability sessions directly with customers and turning findings into decisions.
• Track record of shipping high-quality work at pace with high autonomy.
• Strong communication and the ability to build trust across engineering, product, science and leadership

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design of the product from problem framing to shipped UI.
• Make emissions data legible and actionable for key audiences.
• Set visual and interaction direction and raise craft standards.
• Prototype rapidly and iteratively.
• Define and build the Neutreeno design system for AI-native use.
• Architect the system to be machine-readable so AI tools can build against it.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate design into well-scoped work.
• Partner with Head of Product on discovery, roadmaps and prioritisation.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and feedback.
