Job summary

Burns Sheehan Limited is seeking a backend software engineer to join an early-stage, AI-native AdTech product in London. You will own the AI side from day one, shipping models into live systems and shaping the ML roadmap in collaboration with the CTO and Product Engineer.

The role involves building data pipelines, the infrastructure for model training and inference, and engaging with publishers and brands to understand problems and define product requirements.

Build the advertising infrastructure layer every brand in the world uses to influence AI agents.

I'm working with an early-stage AI powered AdTech building the infrastructure for how advertising will work as AI agents increasingly replace traditional search.

There's already a live product in production, with big name publishers including The Sole Supplier and carwow, alongside brand pilots with Nike and Ford - suggesting early PMF.

They're hiring a foundational technical team, so this is an opportunity to join at pivotal stage of the company's growth to build an AI native product for a problem that didn't really exist a few years ago.

You'll own the AI side of the product from the start. Spending time with publishers and brands, understanding their problems and helping decide what the product needs to do.

You’ll work closely with the CTO and Product Engineer to form their AI & ML roadmap, the data pipelines your models learn from, and the infrastructure they run on. Knowing what good looks like, and proving it with measurement, is what we’re hiring for.
