La Fosse is building a greenfield energy data platform with a founding engineering team. The Senior Software Engineer will design the core platform, own deployment and scaling, and mentor juniors, while collaborating with energy modellers to translate requirements into working software.

The role is remote-first in the UK, involves leading end-to-end technical work, and leverages Python as the primary language with Java/C# where needed.

Qualifikationen

• Strong commercial experience in Python, or Java or C#, with willingness to work in Python
• Hands-on experience deploying and running services on AWS or Azure
• CI/CD pipelines you have built or owned, from commit to production
• Experience leading a piece of technical work end to end (service, migration, or platform component)

Aufgaben

• Design and build the core platform and its services, from architecture to production
• Own how services are deployed, hosted, scaled and monitored
• Build shared libraries, patterns and tooling for the team
• Set up and improve CI/CD and infrastructure as code
• Shape technical decisions and communicate trade-offs to the team and stakeholders
• Work directly with energy modellers to translate needs into software
• Mentor junior engineers and help set engineering standards
