Job summary

Outcomes First Group is seeking an exceptional SEN Teacher for Avonside School in Bristol. You will deliver engaging lessons to pupils with a range of needs, planning adaptive schemes of learning and tracking progress to drive excellent outcomes.

You will join a founding team, helping shape the curriculum and nurture an inclusive, supportive environment where every pupil can flourish and reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within an educational setting.
• Can confidently plan, deliver and adapt engaging lessons for pupils with a range of learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire pupils and support excellent progress.
• Adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of learners with a range of additional and complex needs.
• Plan, develop and review schemes of learning across the curriculum area.
• Monitor pupil progress and use assessments to identify interventions and celebrate achievement.
• Lead development of the subject area and keep teaching creative and engaging.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Avonside School and Outcomes First Group to share best practice.
• Support colleagues through training and sharing effective teaching strategies within your subject specialism.
• Work with Exams Officer to ensure accurate qualification entries and outcomes.
• Teach across a range of subjects as required to support curriculum delivery.
• Work with therapists, Learning Support Assistants, families and multidisciplinary team for holistic education.
