Job summary

Shipio is seeking a founding engineer for Platform and Payment Rail to scale a multi-tenant platform that handles pricing, onboarding, and settlement in a payments-rich environment. You’ll own architecture, ship features end-to-end, and ensure data separation across thousands of suppliers while delivering reliable, cost-efficient payments and settlements.

You’ll work closely with the founder, contribute to product strategy, and help shape a fast-growing fintech-enabled logistics platform with

Qualifications

• Experience designing multi-tenant cloud products.
• Hands-on with payments systems, settlement and reconciliation.
• Experience building AI agent-driven architectures.
• Strong code reading and architectural skills, with product sense.
• Based in the UK and able to spend regular days in London.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Founder to define roadmap for platform and payments.
• Build self-serve onboarding for new suppliers.
• Scale platform from few to thousands of suppliers with data isolation.
• Develop reliable payment and settlement flows, optimized for FX fees.
• Own reconciliation and testing to maintain pricing and payments precision.
• Shape the pipeline and accelerate agent-based development.
